The notion that art works are intrinsically social documents were highlighted in this exhibition. Landmass: Contemporary trends in WA Landscape Art
The selection of works, many from major state collections both public and private, included artists such as Miriam Stannage, Helen Grey-Smith, Howard Taylor, Richard Woldendorp, James Davies, Helen Taylor and David Jones. The curator, Maggie Baxter selected artists from both European and Aboriginal descent who within this exhibition explored practices of landscape art
