Arts’_Edge & Anemone
Arts’_Edge consisted of five computers hosting fourteen CD-ROM and website works which challenged perceptions of newly emerging forms of multimedia art. The eighteen artists (both national and international) came from diverse backgrounds as writing, poetry, film, sound, painting, philosophy, and performance, all of which happened to be working with interactive forms in this instance. Techné
Techné was a survey of new media/digital arts practice in Australia (with a few international exceptions). It was thematically concerned with the alienation of technology. The exhibition featured screen based installations, which encouraged audiences to immerse themselves into a synthesised environment and experience the best of this new wave of arts practice of it’s time.
