Veudplatz: Empty City

Veudplatz was an exhibition by artist and educator, Stuart Elliott who arranged over 300 sculpture components in the form of a floor installation, a walk-through city, like model villages set up for tourists. Stuart Elliot is WA’s own archaeologist of the soul. He calls his work 'Fakeology', a fake archaeology that digs deep into our collective obsessions and memory for its specimens. Veudplatz presented the imaginative history of West Australia as an excavated town site. Stuart reconstructed its ruined hopes and dreams with a pitiless eye.
