Tony Jones: Artist and Teacher

This exhibition presented a detailed survey of Western Australian Tony Jones' career as a sculptor and teacher. It explored the implications for his work in his choice of local themes and history in relation to the international development of sculptural practices. The exhibition offered some audiences their first experience of a major sculpture exhibition and was accompanied by a substantial catalogue. In a full and scaled down version the exhibition was able to tour to venues of differing sizes. Jones was undertaking an artist in residency at selected venues throughout the tour.
