The Meeting Place

The Meeting Place was a collection of 48 panels painted by 46 artists from eight remote communities in northern South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. This mural of meanings was the collaborative work of art which formed this exhibition. The interchangeable panels revealed for the first time traditional designs for the exhibition, and others which related to the meeting place between food and country.
