Textiles: the Medium

This exhibition featured the work of nine artists, all graduates of Visual Arts School at Edith Cowan University and Curtin University of Technology; Helen Britton, Lucy Bromell, Georgina Cresswell, Lyndell Darch, Ruth Hadlow, Marisa Martinazzo, Sarah Toohey, Mark Stewart and Jane Whiteley. Their innovative work developed personal fantasies, myths and rituals, psychological positions and narratives. Ideas were transformed into familiar or functional forms such as shirts, dolls, tablecloths, as well as sculptural gallery pieces.
