Sir Claude Hotchin Art Bequests

This exhibition comprised of works selected from many regional local government collections, education institutions and Royal Perth Hospital, all of which were recipients of donations by Sir Claude Hotchin. The landscapes, still lifes, portraits and cityscapes all reflected Sir Claude Hotchin's were reflections of his taste. There was diversity in the medium, style and concept of these works by major Australian and Western Australia artists which spanned approximately 60 years. An informative colour catalogue accompanied the extensive educational component of the exhibition, which provided teachers’ notes and three education sheets, for use by primary, secondary school students, and the general public. The promotion of the exhibition was supported by a 30 second television commercial on regional GWN, through the WA Department for the Arts. Funding for the Sir Claude Hotchin Art Bequests exhibition was provided by Healthway, the Western Australian Health Promotion Foundation – this funding enabled the National Heart Foundation to join with NETS WA to support the exhibition.
