Home-Made Treasures

Home-Made Treasures stemmed from the very rich collection of improvised items made for children held by the Edith Cowan University Museum of Childhood. The exhibition was concerned with an important segment of our national folk life as expressed through its material culture. In contrast to commercially produced items, all objects in this exhibition were produced through genuine need or desire. A strength of the exhibitions was its ability to tell the story behind these items because of the strength of recorded provenance.
