Geo-derma

Geo-derma was an exploration of the relationship between the body and landscape and how technology is impacting upon our perceptions of both. This exhibition was a continuation of a three-year collaboration involving two visual artists and a musician/physicist who began the project in three different continents (though George Millward and Brian McClave were based in London). Geo-derma was an imaginative sensory – and particularly visual – exploration of ambiguities about skins and surfaces… The‘exploration that generated the work is an exercise of curiosity. It is an exercise by means of which the boundaries of understanding of the world are stretched and turned; not a journey to a predictable and known goal. © Donald Brook Geo-derma Catalogue 2000.
