Floor Talk | How Did I Get Here?
About this event
Join Famous Sharron at Geraldton Regional Art Gallery at 11am on Saturday 14 March for a guided tour of Freighting Ideas exhibition How Did I Get Here?. The self-proclaimed Face of WA explores what art is, how to art, and most importantly, why art is like cheese.
This exhibition from the Art Gallery WA State Art Collection brings together twelve works by seven of the country’s most engaging and accomplished artists in the mediums of photography and video: Tony Albert (QLD), Graham Miller (WA), Toni Wilkinson (WA), Michael Cook (WA), Anne Zahalka (NSW), Petrina Hicks (NSW) and David Rosetzky (VIC). Their works are interwoven with complimentary pieces from the City of Greater Geraldton’s art collection; asking the question ‘How Did I Get Here?’ and inviting you to contemplate how your relationships and environments define your sense of self.
How Did I Get Here? is the first capsule collection of Freighting Ideas which aims to develop genuine relationships, meaningful encounters, community connections and the contribution of many different voices.
