Women’s Business Travelling A Celebration of Aboriginal Women’s Work from Western Australia
A vibrant exhibition of textiles, objects and jewellery drawn from the creativity of over 40 Aboriginal women from 9 different regions of Western Australia. The common thread running through the exhibition was the underlying spirituality of the stories and designs which sprung from a shared connection with the land.
The Print on the Sheep’s Back
This exhibition was the result of a collaboration between artists and industry. The determined team of ten Western Australian artists and textile artist Jemma Dacre, scientists and industry specialists set out to challenge the screen printing process. They developed printed woollen fabric which integrated the creative arts impulse, paint process and economic productivity.
