THE OPPORTUNITY
This residency offers artists the opportunity to live and work in Gathaagudu/Shark Bay and immerse themselves in a creative project over a period of six weeks. The program aims to foster connection between artists and the natural world, encouraging innovative interpretations that showcase the unique wonders of Gathaagudu/Shark Bay.
Resident artists will be based at Shark Bay World Heritage Discovery and Visitor Centre and may have the opportunity to work with The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), Parks and Wildlife Service – Gascoyne District, and DBCA managed National Parks.
During the residency, artists will be supported to engage with the local community through a public event/s such as an open studio, artist talk, or workshop.
