Transpositions: contextualising recent Dutch Australian art
Transpositions was an exhibition of the work of 14 contemporary artists living and working in WA who shared a Dutch heritage. Some were born in the Netherlands, others lived in Western Australia and have Dutch parents. Their art focused on the nature of migration and the process of change and adjustment.
Landmass: Contemporary trends in WA Landscape Art
The selection of works, many from major state collections both public and private, included artists such as Miriam Stannage, Helen Grey-Smith, Howard Taylor, Richard Woldendorp, James Davies, Helen Taylor and David Jones. The curator, Maggie Baxter selected artists from both European and Aboriginal descent who within this exhibition explored practices of landscape art
